Energy Transition

The clean energy transition requires a fundamental transformation of power systems that include higher levels of digitalization at scale across all grid domains – from generation to transmission and distribution to end-use. Grids have formed the backbone of electricity systems for more than a century, delivering power to homes, industry, offices, educational facilities, and hospitals.

Grid Scaling

The scale up of investments in smarter and more resilient grids where electricity consumption is set to grow at a rapid rate includes a focus on providing equal levels of electricity access. Smarter and more resilient grids will be necessary to accommodate the greater deployment of renewable energy and enhance energy security.

Transportation Decarbonization

Key to supporting road transport electrification and decarbonization is effectively integrating electric vehicles charging into the grid. The shift to electric mobility, assessing the impacts on the grid, deploying measures for grid integration, and improving power system planning while creating an energy efficient and grid-interactive built environment will contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.
